Two years ago, I hit a really low point. Burned out, severely depressed, totally disconnected, I knew I needed a place where I could just be—somewhere safe to breathe, get real with myself, and begin finding my way through life.

Honestly, the Lisbon studio wasn’t a huge success on paper, it wasn’t so glamorous, easy, and fulfilling to build a business when you are all over the place in the healing journey, but it was a light at the end of the tunnel for me. It was a gateway to the real purpose of this business. It also became my way of not just surviving, but of learning to choose myself, step by step. I began to feel an unexplainable joy from making choices that put me first, creating boundaries, saying no, and finally being honest—with others and with myself, even when it was hard.

Creating LUME reminded me how important it is to know ourselves, to make space for all parts of who we are—the light, the shadows, and everything in between. I wanted to build a space where others could come and feel the same: safe, accepted, and ready to grow.

As we open LUME in Prague, I want this to be more than just a wellbeing studio. Let’s make it a safe space where we can get real together—a place where you can choose yourself, embrace every part of your journey, and grow at your own pace. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we all deserve a space to show up exactly as we are, one step, one breath, one choice at a time.
